The Lamborghini Gallardo was manufactured in 2004 only in coupe body style.

First Generation (2004—Present)

The basic Gallardo variant was powered by a 5.0-liter V10 engine version that could deliver 493-hp.

For the future models, the e-gear was upgraded for higher shift response. Apart from the trim and colors, all other mechanical improvements of SE were created on similar lines of the traditional Gallardo in the subsequent year. In next year, the performance of the engine was modified to about 512 hp.

2008 Lamborghini Gallardo

The Gallardo Superleggera model was launched in the 2008 model year. This was a coupe model, which had intoxicating looks, and redesigned with superior power levels, and comfort. It was featured with

• Power levels of 522 hp,
• nearly 150-pound-lighter curb weight, and
• slightly different suspension settings.

Lamborghini Gallardo Nera

Currently, the famous Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 is available in coupe body style only and the spider convertible is added to the lineup. The position of engine is signified by its name; the LP560-4 (longitudinal rear or “longitudinal posterior”),

With the help of a 5.0-liter V10 engine, the Gallardo currently generates

• a whooping 552 horsepower.
The engine is mated to a six-speed manual transmission with a standard gated metal shifter. It is also included with the optional automated six-speed sequential-shift manual transmission, popularly termed as e-gear.

Design & Exterior Appearance

In terms of design and layout, the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 is a perfect exotic piece. To reduce the weight, the chassis is combined with blend of extrusions, castings, and alloy stampings. It is incorporated with conventional opening steel doors and the external part is constructed with thermoplastic-formed boards.
